The ZOLL preset uses the manufacturer’s high-pressure O₂-use equation. The value shown by the ventilator is preferred when available. Low-pressure reservoir use requires a direct flow entry.

Planning aid—not a clinical or dispatch clearance

Confirm the cylinder factor, actual ventilator oxygen-consumption display/specifications, leaks, additional devices, traffic, receiving capability, and agency policy. HAMILTON presets are not valid for patient-end leaks; ZOLL low-pressure reservoir use should be entered from the actual flowmeter. Use a larger safety margin for high-risk or uncertain transports. Never plan to exhaust a cylinder.
